This Privacy Policy describes how Leclezio Consulting Corporation ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Resume Tailor ("resume2builder.com", "the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address through Clerk, our authentication provider. This information is used to identify your account and manage your subscription.

1.2 Resume Content

When you use the Service, your resume content and job descriptions are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI for processing. This data is used solely to generate tailored resume suggestions and is not stored on our servers. Your resume sessions are saved exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device.

1.3 Payment Information

Payment information for Pro subscriptions is collected and processed by Stripe. We do not directly store your credit card numbers or banking details. Stripe may share with us limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing address to help us manage your subscription.

1.4 Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data, including pages visited, time spent on pages, referral sources, and general device and browser information. This data helps us understand how the Service is used and how to improve it.

2. Local Storage

Resume Tailor stores your resume sessions, preferences, and application state in your browser's localStorage. This data resides exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Please be aware that:

Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your saved sessions.
localStorage data is specific to the browser and device you used; it does not sync across devices.
We cannot access, recover, or restore data stored in your browser's localStorage.

3. Third-Party Data Processors

We share your data with the following third-party processors, each of which has its own privacy policy governing their use of your information:

Anthropic — Receives resume content and job descriptions to generate AI suggestions. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Clerk — Manages user authentication and stores account credentials. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — Processes payments and manages subscription billing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Google — Collects anonymized analytics data through Google Analytics. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you explicitly accept them via our cookie consent banner. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Vercel — Hosts the application and processes all web requests. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, user agents) are retained by Vercel for up to 30 days for operational purposes. Resume content is NOT included in server logs. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

The Service uses the following types of cookies:

Authentication Cookies (Clerk) — Essential cookies required to maintain your login session and authenticate requests. These are necessary for the Service to function.
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics) — Used to collect anonymized usage statistics. These cookies can be declined through our cookie consent banner, in which case Google Analytics will be disabled.

5. Data Retention

We do not retain resume content on our servers. Resume data exists only in your browser's localStorage and in transient API calls to Anthropic during processing. Account information maintained by Clerk is retained for the duration of your account. Payment records maintained by Stripe are retained in accordance with Stripe's data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal data. Since resume content is stored only in your browser, you can delete it by clearing your localStorage. For account data, we will coordinate deletion with Clerk.
Right to Portability — You may request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. All your resume data is stored locally in your browser and can be exported directly from the application as DOCX or PDF.
Right to Rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Right to Restrict Processing — You may request that we limit the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.
Right to Object — You may object to the processing of your personal data for certain purposes, including direct marketing.

7. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights:

Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information.
Right to Opt-Out — You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
