This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Resume Builder ("resume2builder.com", "the Service"), operated by Leclezio Consulting Corporation. It applies to all users, including free tier, Pro, API Developer, enterprise, university, and outplacement plan users. By using the Service, you agree to this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Permitted Use
You may use the Service to:
- Tailor your own resume to job descriptions you are personally applying for.
- Generate cover letters, interview preparation materials, and career planning content for your own job search.
- Access AI-powered tools and features included in your subscription tier.
- Use the API (Developer plan) to build applications that assist individuals with their own career documents, in compliance with this AUP.
- Assist clients with their resumes if you are an authorized coach or partner operating under a verified coach/partner account.
2. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to:
2.1 Fraudulent or Deceptive Activity
- Create resumes that misrepresent your qualifications, experience, education, or certifications.
- Fabricate employment history, degrees, or credentials of any kind.
- Impersonate another person or submit a resume on behalf of someone else without their knowledge and consent.
- Use AI-generated content to deceive employers about your actual capabilities.
2.2 Unauthorized or Bulk Use
- Share your account credentials or API keys with others.
- Use a single account or API key to process resumes for multiple third parties at scale without an enterprise or coach agreement.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service or its outputs without our written permission.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service outside of the official API.
2.3 System Abuse
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate our AI prompts, system instructions, or scoring algorithms.
- Probe, scan, or test the Service for security vulnerabilities without our written authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or any connected infrastructure.
- Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, daily budgets, or Pro feature gates.
- Use the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
2.4 Unlawful Activity
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Upload or transmit content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- Upload malicious files, scripts, or content intended to harm the Service or other users.
- Use the Service in connection with any illegal hiring or employment discrimination practice.
3. API Developer Plan — Additional Rules
If you access the Service via the API (Developer plan), the following additional rules apply:
- End user disclosure — If you build a product on top of our API, you must clearly disclose to your end users that AI-generated content is being used and that they are responsible for verifying its accuracy.
- No mass resume fraud — You may not use the API to generate resumes at scale for submission to employers without genuine human candidates behind each submission.
- Key security — You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Compromised keys must be rotated immediately via your developer dashboard.
- Rate limits — You must respect rate limits and monthly usage quotas. Exceeding limits may result in temporary suspension of your key.
- Permitted use cases — Career services platforms, HR tech tools, recruiting software, and job board integrations that assist real candidates are permitted. Spam, fake applications, or deceptive hiring tools are not.
4. Enterprise, University, and Outplacement Plans
Organizations operating under enterprise, university, or outplacement agreements are responsible for ensuring that all users they invite or provision comply with this AUP. Administrators must not provision access for individuals who are not bona fide members of their organization or program. Misuse of bulk seat allocations or invite tokens may result in immediate suspension of the organization's account.
5. AI-Generated Content Responsibility
All AI-generated resume content is a suggestion, not a guarantee. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any content before submitting it to an employer. Resume Builder's AI is explicitly instructed not to fabricate credentials, but AI systems can produce errors. You must not submit AI-generated content you have not personally reviewed.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Issue a warning.
- Temporarily suspend your account or API key.
- Permanently terminate your account without refund.
- Report violations to relevant authorities where required by law.
We will generally attempt to contact you before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations, or where immediate action is required to protect the Service or other users.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any use of the Service that violates this AUP, please report it to us at richard.leclezio@gmail.com with the subject line "AUP Violation Report".
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
