Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

What the extension does

The Resume Tailor Chrome Extension reads the job description text from the job listing page you are currently viewing. When you click the extension icon, it extracts the job title, company name, and job description from that page and passes it to resume2builder.com so you can tailor your resume without copy-pasting.

Data collected

• Job title, company name, and job description text from the active tab — only when you click the extension button
• No browsing history, no personal data, no cookies, no account credentials
• No data is collected passively or without your explicit action

How data is used

The extracted job description text is passed as a URL parameter to resume2builder.com solely to pre-fill the job description input field. It is not stored by the extension, not sent to any third-party service, and not used for advertising or analytics. Once passed to the app, it is subject to the Resume Tailor Privacy Policy.

Permissions used

• activeTab — read the content of the tab you are currently viewing, only when you click the extension
• scripting — inject a script to extract job description text from the page
• tabs — open or navigate to resume2builder.com with the job description pre-filled
• storage — reserved for future use (not currently used)

Data sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer any data collected by this extension to third parties.
