Who this is for: Operations coordinators, managers, and analysts targeting their first formal project management title.
You have almost certainly run projects — process rollouts, system migrations, vendor changes, peak-season plans — but your resume describes them as operations duties. Recruiters filtering for "project management experience" won't infer it. The fix is not inventing a PM history; it's surfacing the project work already buried inside your operational roles.

Why it works
The migration was a project with a plan, stakeholders, training, and a cutover. Naming those elements converts an operations duty into delivery evidence — using only facts you already have.
What the job asks for
Data-driven process improvement
Before

Built the weekly bottleneck report that identified pack-station congestion as the top delay driver, then ran a six-week improvement cycle with two adjacent teams that cut order turnaround by a shift.
Why it works
Report → insight → cross-team initiative → measured result. That chain is exactly what PM interviewers mean by "data-driven improvement."
What the job asks for
Stakeholder and vendor management
Before
Managed relationships with third-party vendors.
After
Ran the quarterly vendor review cycle for 5 logistics providers; led the RFP and 90-day transition when the primary carrier was replaced, keeping delivery SLAs intact through the switch.
Why it works
An RFP and a managed transition are textbook project work. Most operations resumes hide them under "vendor management."
What matters most
1. Inventory your hidden projects first
List every rollout, migration, launch, move, or process change you were part of in the last five years. Each one is a potential bullet with a start, an end, stakeholders, and a result.
2. Use PM vocabulary accurately
Cutover plan, stakeholder alignment, milestone, risk, scope. Use the terms where they genuinely apply — interviewers will ask you to walk through the project, so the story must hold.
3. Add one credential to pass the filter
CAPM, Google PM certificate, or CSM answers the "no PM certification" objection cheaply. List it even if in progress, marked as such.
4. Target hybrid titles first
Operations project manager, implementation manager, and program coordinator roles value your domain depth and are the realistic first step to a pure PM title.
